Can I do CAP on telehealth?

Yes. I provide CAP in person and via telehealth. While I have a state of the art cold plunge in my office, there are a variety of inexpensive cold plunges that you can purchase for use in a virtual CAP session. Here is a link to a quality but inexpensive plunge . All you would need to do is fill it with water and add ice prior to our CAP session.

What are the advantages of Cold Assisted Psychotherapy over other psychotherapy approaches?

There are two important benefits to CAP over other psychotherapeutic approaches. 
1. Due to the state of Peak Experience and heightened neuroplasticity induced by cold exposure, CAP works on a very deep and lasting level. CAP processes and effects a rewiring of the brain that is gentle, profound, and permanent. 
2. CAP works very, very fast. Each CAP session has a specific, targeted result that is the focus of each session. Many other therapies take significant amounts of time and effort and only provide a temporary benefit, with frequent lapses into old ways of thinking, feeling, and acting.

Do I need any special equipment to engage in CAP?

No. All you need to bring is a bathing suit and towel. Our cold plunge is in a separate, private room in which you can change before and after the plunge.

If you are struggling and want fast, but real, lasting change and resolution, then CAP is for you. CAP is different than many other psychotherapies in that it is focused on one thing only: Results. CAP is not about talking and support (although it does provide that too), it's about helping you create the change and healing in your life that you want. If you want rapid, transformational results, CAP is for you.

Are there any contraindications for CAP?

Yes. If you have uncontrolled high blood pressure or any cardiac issues, CAP is not for you.

That depends on the issue. Regardless of the issue, CAP is designed to create a clear, specific, and measurable shift on a mental and emotional level in each and every session. While the total number of sessions for complete resolution varies, every session provides a measurable and valuable benefit.
